DOWNTOWN STREETS TO CLOSE FOR PROJECT

Full Description:

First Street South will be closed today from Fifth to Seventh avenues while the city prepares it for a construction project.

The Sixth Avenue intersection will be closed.

The street will reopen Wednesday but will be limited to one lane in each direction east and west until October.

The limited access is to accommodate the construction of the Centre Square parking ramp.
