Full Description:

The St Cloud American Indian Movement hopes to provide information on a variety of issues concerning American Indian issues as well as History of the Movement itself. St Cloud AIM Projects 2009 Starting in January 2008 the St Cloud American Indian Movement's Community Services programs began. The programs consist of a variety of projects to enhance the lives of our Indian People's here, in our community. Some of the projects are: -Elder visitations in the area's nursing homes, VA hospital, St Cloud hospital and home visits. The visitations are designed to not only share time with our Elder's but also to allow our Elder's to share with us their vast wisdom through storytelling, etc. -Tutoring for our Native Young People who need help with their schoolwork. -A mentoring program for our Native Youth. -Spring planting. Gardening project to help our Native People eat more nourishing. -The removal of statues/mascots/logos which demean Indian Peoples. -The protection of sacred burial and other Native sites in the Central Minnesota area. -Blanket and coat/clothing drives.
